Greetings, I’m Dr. Chanaé Jones, the current Basileus (President) of the Luminous Lambda Omega Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. It is an honor to serve in this capacity at such an amazing time. This year we are celebrating our centennial; yes, we are celebrating 100 years of "Greater Service, and Greater Progress".
As Basileus, I am committed to continuing the mission of our sorority and chapter, over the course of my term. Our organization will continue to focus on the programs and initiatives from the
national and regional levels, as well as community based needs within the North
Houston area. Our centennial slogan is " Greater Women, Greater World." We aim to provide a high-quality service ensuring we are the “go-to” organization for educational programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life within our community, for women and youth.
In addition, we emphasize building a sisterhood rooted in establishing meaningful relationships and actively engaging and supporting one another. The Lambda Omega Sigma Alumnae Chapter has been thriving since we chartered with six members in 2013; since then we have grown to over 100+ chapter members and have affiliate clubs of Rhoers and Rhosebuds who are all committed to being GREATER in the North Houston area. This is just the beginning for Lambda Omega Sigma! We look forward to continuing to serve our community and world.
