Did you know that 1 in every 10 babies in the U.S. is born prematurely? For Black mothers, that rate is even higher, at 14.7%—that's 1.5 times the rate of other women.
These aren't just numbers; they are our families and our future. That's why Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is so passionate about our Project Cradle Care!
We are deeply concerned by the rising rates of preterm birth and maternal death, and we are committed to being part of the solution. Sigma supports Moms and Babies through our partnership with the March of Dimes and through our national program of Project Cradle Care.
We are actively working to close this gap by providing vital prenatal education, resources, and support to mothers in high-risk communities. We believe every baby deserves a healthy start in life, and we are joyfully committed to making that a reality! We invite you, our community, to join us in this movement.
Please visit our fundraising page to make a donation. We want to emphasize that every gift matters, regardless of the size. Your $5 donation is as welcome as a $500 donation. What matters is our collective ability to create change.
Together, we can help make America a more equitable place and ensure a healthy start for every family.
